The price of your particular piece may call for $6-700 retail(don't quote me, since I don't have a catalog or price list, and I do not know which model your violin is.), but a store may offer you about $400 for it (they do have to make a profit.) If you ask about the price without stating that you wish to sell it, they probably will give you a slightly better price than if you state you have intentions of selling it. They have several grades of violins, depending on the amount of handwork and quality of materials.
